Cutting Dies

Four sets of cutting dies  (*5, *9, *0, and *4mm ) are included in standard package:

• o *5mm (for electrode discs of CR*0xx series coin cell cases)
• o *9mm (for electrode discs of CR*0xx series coin cell cases and CR***5 negative side cases)
• o *0mm (for electrode discs of CR***0 cell cases, CR***5 positive side cases, and separator discs of CR*0xx series coin cell cases)
• o *4mm (for electrode and separator discs of CR*4xx series)
• Optional sizes available in *0, *2, *2.7 (1/2''), *6, *8mm diameter at extra cost.

Application Notes

• If you are going to make CR***6, CR***5 or/and CR***2 coin cell batteries, you will need at least three cutting dies:
  • o *5mm (for negative side case, which is *6.5mm in diameter)
  • o *9mm (for positive side case, which is *0mm in diameter)
  • o *0 mm (for separator to fully separate the electrodes in both negative and positive cases)
  • For CR***0 coin cell, a *0mm cutting die can be used for cutting electrode discs 
  • and the *4mm cutting die for either electrode or separator discs.
  • *4 mm (for electrode and separator discs in CR*4+ series or depending on customer's requirement)

For cutting seperator films, it is necessary to use transparent file covers to sandwitch the film prior to cutting. 

This set up will stiffen up the film for ensuring smooth cuts on the edges of the disc.
