This gyroscope provides extremely precise rotational rate informatoin by measuring the phase difference between two paths of light traveling in opposite directions through an optical fiber. The rate information is then processed in a digital data stream to a variety of external systems. Primary application for this gyro is the MK *6 Torpedo.
