Embreak 2W**1 is designed to:
1.Minimizes desalter undercarry oil
2.Increases both salt and solids removal effi-ciency in desalting equipment
3.Resolves emulsion rag buildup at the desalter interface
4.Improve crude oil dehydration

Description and Use
Embreak 2W**1 is an oil soluble, multifunctional emulsion breaker designed to aid in crude oil desalt-ing and dehydration. In addition, this product aids in the removal of filterable solids, as well as the reso-lution of solids stabilized emulsions at the desalter water / oil interface.

Feeding
For consistent effectiveness, Embreak 2W**1 must be fed continuously by a chemical proportioning pump.
Embreak 2W**1 is usually fed to the suction side of the crude charge pump and is sometimes fed into the wash water ahead of the first stage mix valve. Injection of an oil based demulsifier, such as Em-break 2W**1, into the desalter wash water is an applications patent owned by GE.
Do not mix with other process chemicals unless compatibility has been checked with Product Man-agement.

Evaluation
For best treatment performance, the Embreak 2W**1 program must be conscientiously evaluated by periodically recording critical unit parameters - crude charge rate and composition, wash water rate, desalter temperatures and pressure, mix valve dP, electrical grid operation, etc.
