Mainly material are *5, *0 cr, *2 crmo etc carbon steel or alloy steel, ductile iron or alloy cast iron may be adopted. Conditioning treatment, usually, and the most commonly gear material is *0CrMnTi, usually carburizing and quenching.

Process flows:
rough turning - Q&T - -finish turning - machining keyway - roll teeth, tooth surface intermediate frequency quenching, quenching hardness HRC****8 (specific hardness value need according to condition, load and others factors to decide) - grinding - finished product inspection
