Glycerin:

Glycerin is a part of three-factor alcohols. This substance is a colorless and odorless liquid that dissolves in water and alcohols. Glycerin has a high viscosity at room temperature. It is flammable and steel or stainless steel tanks are used for its transportation.                            Usages : 1. The use of glycerin in the production of cosmetics and hygiene products. 2. Food and pharmaceutical products. 3. Tobacco and cigarettes. 4. Polyether polyol. 5. Alkyd resin. 6. Use of glycerin in explosives. 7. Other usages.

Pharmacology :

In syrup and cold pill, expectorant, toothpaste and mouthwash, shaving cream and glycerol suppositories for the treatment of constipation, immediate reduction of severe eye pressure, in the form of ear drops to soften hard secretions, allergic immunotherapy treatment, oral plague and Treatment of wounds and superficial cuts

Cosmetic :

chiefly used in the soap and hygienic industry.

Dye:

Resin industry (alkyd resin) and dyeing, anti-paint making and coded color

Military industries :

Glycerin is used in the preparation of nitro glycerin, which is an essential ingredient in explosives (dynamite, gellingite, and cordin).

Movie industry :

Glycerin is used to imaging for some scenes that contain water to prevent water droplets from drying out quickly.
