The food value of barley is high. Barley's kernels contain up to *1% of protein, *6% of carbohydrate, 4,5% cellulose, up to 2% of oil. It is rich in minerals substances and microelements. It contains potassium, phosphorus, calcium, iron, magnesium, zinc, selenium, molybdenum, nickel, cobalt, strontium, chromium, boron and iodine. Barley is also rich in vitamins of groups В, Е and РР.
The dishes from barley have emollient, obducing, spasmolytic,

sources state that barley slows down neoplasm growth during their
