A polyether
polyol is
the polymeric reaction product of an organic oxide and an
initiator compound containing two or more active hydrogen atoms.
The active
hydrogen compound in the presence of a base catalyst initiates ring
opening and oxide
addition, which is continued until the desired molecular weight is
obtained.
