Potassium tert-butoxide is one commonly usage alkoxide salt whose chemical formula is (CH3)3COK.This colorless solid is commonly used as the strong alkali in organic synthesis which pKa is about 17of conjugate acid t-butanol.Being solid state,it exists as four class cubane atomic cluster.In the chemical literatre always use t-BuOK indicated.
