Heat treatment and
finish
The standard heat treatment is quench-and-temper. Our modern
equipment and skillful technicians guarantee each retaining ring
within the mechanical properties required.
- Austempering is available on
request.
- Carbon steel retaining rings are chemical
blackened and dipped in anti-rust oil.
- A black corrosion-retardant phosphate coating
on carbon steel is available on request.
- Zinc plating is available, but is not
recommended.
- Stainless steel is polished into original
color after heat treatment.
- No further finish on copper and
brass.
