This type of corrosion test is
known variously as “salt spray testing”, “salt fog testing”,
“salt mist testing”. For all practical purposes all these terms
are equivalent and mean the same.

Short Description:These can be used to expose
test samples to a salt spray climate, at user adjustable
temperature. This type of test is most often used to check the
effectiveness of a manufacturing process, such as the
application of a surface coating. By exposing samples taken
from such a process, to the controlled corrosive atmosphere
created inside a salt spray cabinet, it can be determined
whether or not the process is meeting expectations, in terms of
corrosion resistance.
