HeatRuler is used to cool the backboard of solar PV cells and increase efficiency.With indirect liquid or air cooling, the temperature can be brought down tobelow *0℃, and efficiency be raised by ***0%; withforced liquid cooling, the temperature can be brought down to below *2℃, raising the efficiency by ***0%. At the sametime, this excess heat can be used to produce hot water of around *0℃.  Both silicon and nonsilicon thin film PV modules can be turned to PV/T modules.

The fluid heat exchanger can be replaced by an air heat exchanger to make the PV/THotwater® for space heating.
