The solar car battery charger is designed to prevent deep cycle and larger *2V batteries from self-draining and to reduce the extra cost for battery replacement. The solar charger prevents the battery voltage losses and small electrical drains by supplying the car battery with a constant trickle of energy generated from sunlight, when a car is not driven for an extended period of time, or when a car is in the auto manufacturer's parking lot after rolling off the production line.
