While being renewable, solar and wind energy are also the most common energies. Solar energy is the source of all energy available on earth, one form of which is wind.

Different topographies on the earth (such as sandy soil, vegetation or water) can absorb different degrees of heat from the sun, thus temperature difference is formed on the earth’s surface, and wind is produced as a result of cross-ventilation.

Therefore, solar energy and wind energy have strong complementarity both in time and region. At day, the sunlight is strong while the wind is weak. After the sun goes down, the sunlight becomes weak and the wind becomes stronger due to the excessive temperature differentials on the earth’s surface. In summer, the sunlight is strong while the wind is weak, and in winter, the sunlight weakens while the wind gets stronger. This perfect complementarity enables the solar & wind power generator system to make full use of available energies.
