Versal spray oil is highly refined parrafinic oils that are used to manage pests and diseases of plants.
Versal is summer oil that can be safely used on plant foliage during the growing season with minimal risk of plant injury.
Highly specialised additives such as UV absorbers (anti phytotoxicity) and antioxidants are added to Versal oil to elevate its performance characteristics for niche horticultural requirements, while still offering optimum plant and produce safety.

Formulated from pure base oils and combined with specialty surfactants for specific end uses

The mode of action of Versal oil on insects:
*- The most important is that it blocks the air holes (spiracles) through which insects breathe, causing them to die from asphyxiation. Also, the spread of oil through the respiratory pores and block the insect's trachea which leads to insect death.
*- Create a thin layer on the insects eggs surface where it stops the gas exchanges.
*- In some cases, oils also may act as poisons, interacting with the fatty acids of the insect and interfering with normal metabolism. Oils also may disrupt the insect feeding, a feature that is particularly important in the transmission of some plant viruses by aphids.
*- Cause hardness in eggs which make it difficult for the eggs to hatch.
*- Death of newly hatched individuals.
*- Forms a layer on the plant parts prevent the settlement of the newly hatched individuals of the insects.
*- Dissolve the external waxy layer on the insect body causing dehydration.
