Thermal evaporators convert the water component in wastewater to clean vapor for steam release. On average, *5% to *9% of the original waste is evaporated leaving only a small residue requiring disposal.

The Arch wastewater evaporator  is a dual-effect, vacuum distillation evaporator that uses low-pressure steam to evaporate wastewater under vacuum at very low temperature. The steam is then condensed and returned for reuse as clean, distilled water. By evaporating under vacuum, the system can return many valuable process streams to their primary uses, which allows for a complete, closed-loop system.
