The shovel teeth are a class II wear-resistant steel, manganese
steel...and the bucket bottom is a class I steel.
The actual working conditions of shovel teeth are very harsh, and
they are not only subjected to wear and tear but also to certain
impact loads when they come into contact with the material.
Therefore, it is of great practical significance to study new
excavator tooth materials, improve the service life of tooth parts
under working conditions, and reduce the economic losses caused by
wear. By heat treatment of the experimental steel with different
compositions and related testing and theoretical analysis, the best
composition ratio and optimal heat treatment process were found.
The shovel tooth parts produced by the experimental steel obtained
good comprehensive mechanical properties, i.e. the tip part has
excellent wear resistance and certain toughness, while the shank
part has high toughness and certain wear resistance. The research
results show that with the increase of carbon content, the hardness
of the experimental steel gradually increases, while the impact
toughness shows a significant decreasing trend; with the increase
of manganese content, both hardness and impact toughness show a
trend of first increase and then decrease. The optimum chemical
composition ratio (wt%) of the experimental steel is C:0.*4,
Si:1.8, Mn:1.5, Cr:1.0. By using mechanical properties experiments
and metallurgical microscopy and scanning electron microscopy,
energy spectrometry and transmission electron microscopy, the
mechanical properties, microstructure and phase composition of the
material were analyzed, and the optimum heat treatment process of
the experimental steel was determined, that is, the experimental
steel material was normalized at After normalizing at **0℃, the
hardness value can reach HRC*0~HRC*8, impact toughness value
ak≥*0J/cm2; after tempering at **0℃×1h***0℃×*0min***0℃×2h, the
hardness value can reach HRC*8~HRC*4, impact toughness value can
reach *5~*0J/cm2; simulating the actual working condition for wear
experiment, the material's The wear volume of the material is
significantly lower than the wear volume of the shovel tooth
material in service in the factory. After the heat treatment of the
shovel tooth parts produced with this experimental steel, the
hardness change from the tip to the shank shows a good transition,
which ensures the optimization of the mechanical properties of the
material in the tip and shank parts. The hardness of the tooth tip
is HRC*8~HRC*4, the hardness of the middle of the shovel tooth is
HRC*0~HRC*5, and the hardness of the shank is HRC*0~HRC*8. The
shovel tooth is tested on the machine.
