Introduction:
Sodium alginate, also called algin or alginate, is one kind of
natural polysaccharide carbohydrate extracted from
seaweed.
Property:
As the hydrophilic gel, sodium alginate is the prevailing salt of
algin, which is apt to from thick solutions(RE. the prevailing salt
of thickness and stability), sodium alginate can be used as
thickener and stabilizer in foodstuff, and printing paste,
oil-extraction agent etc.
Application:
In printing and textile industry
Printing paste: Acted as reactive dye in medium or high end
printing
Thickening agent: Used as thickener in printing technology to make
a dense cover during drying and raise dyeing
