GROOVED PINS Grooved Pins are manufactured in the range of 2mm to *6mm in diameter and 5mm to **0mm lengths. They are manufactured to different standards to suit individual requirements. The grooved Pins are having three equi-spaced longitudinal grooves. They are rolled or pressed into the cylindrical body to deform the pins resists loosening from shock or vibrations and may be reused without appreciably reducing the holding force. Grooved pins are reported to reduce Cost, Time & Energy as it makes assembly simpler and faster. They are manufactured from C**0 (EN - 8) material in soft condition and natural finish. It can also be manufactured as per customer requirement. CYLINDRICAL (DOWEL) PIN: Cylindrical (Dowel) Pins are used either to retain parts in a fixed position or to preserve alignment. Cylindrical (Dowel) pin soft are manufactured to IS: ***3, DIN - 7, ISO: ***8 for metric series and B5: ***4 for inch series. Our range of manufacturing is 2 mm to *5 mm in diameter and 5 mm to **0 mm in length. SPRING DOWEL PINS: Spring dowel pins are slotted pin made from high carbon spring steel (EN**2J) material having **- *1 HRC. They can also be manufactured from stainless steel material xxxxx SS- **4, SS- **0, SS- **6 etc. Spring Dowel pin is accurately made to diameter greater than the drilled hole into which it is pressed. When inserted the elasticity of the material then exerting a continuous radial force over the full length of the pin. The purpose of the slot in the pins is to allow compression when inserted in the hole. TAPER PINS: Taper Pins are preferred for parts, which have to be taken apart frequently and when driving out the cylindrical pin would tend to wear the holes and also to very accurate constructed tools and gauge which have to be kept in absolute alignment. Taper pins Soft are manufactured to IS: ***3: *3 (Din - 1) & IS: ***8: *2 for metric series and B.S. *6 for inch series. They are made from C - *0 or EN - 8 materials.
