The children were given either IVY Drops or an ineffective sham medicine (placebo) twice daily. Outcome: After only three days&#**9; treatment the lung function test readings in the children treated with IVY showed definite improvement, whereas in the other children of the same age-the placebo group-they remained practically unchanged. The difference in efficacy between the medicine and the placebo was statistically significant.
