Properties and Applications

Syntan SNF 5% is a Sodium Naphthalene formaldehyde base replacement syntan with a wide range of applications. Good filling effect on chrome tanned leathers. It has a good dispersing action on other retanning agents, vegetable extracts and resins, added to improve the fullness and firmness in the leathers without making them too elastic and soft.

In the production of vegetable tanned leather where part of the natural tannins can be replaced to obtain a lighter colour, finer grain and improving the speed and uniformity of penetration.

Usage & Dosages

Shoe upper and lining **5%   on shaved weight

Garment Leather     **4%  on Shaved weight

Upholstery leather **4%  on shaved weight

During Vegetable tannage **2%  on Vegetable Tanning material
