What is Sample Central?
Sample Central offers brands and manufactures a unique way to test
new products and services, which are offered for free to you as the
consumer. You need to schedule a visit to the store after paying
your membership fees. Once in the store you are free to choose the
products which interest you, there is no sale pressure. You then
complete a short questionnaire online about your opinion about the
product or service. Many brands and manufactures are interested in
TRUE or REAL consumer insights, and as you made the choice to take
a product out of the store your insights are valuable to the
manufacturer.
Is everything in sample size?
The products in Sample Central are typically the same size,
quantity, and packaging as they appear on the supermarket shelves.
Sample Central gives you the chance to try the product in full,
allowing you to provide your opinion, suggestions and
critisisms.
What are the rules for taking products from the
store?
During your visit to the Sample Central store you will be able to
take five (5) products for free. As long as you complete your
feedback surveys you will be able to come back and shop for free at
the next available appointment.
What is tryvertising?
Tryvertising is the merger of testing (try) and advertising – some
times known as try before you buy. Sample Central was the pioneer
of tryvertising, being the first FREE store in the world. Sample
Central is a real time tryvertising. It is more relevant and cost
effective than mass advertising. It allows consumers to become
familiar with products by actually trying them out, it is the new
standard for product placement. Sample Central integrates a Brands,
goods and services into daily life in a more relevant way allowing
consumers can make up their minds based on experience not brands
advertising messages.
Sample Central has instant appeal to the Trysumers – today’s growing group of experienced consumers, immune to traditional advertising, who enjoy full access to information, reviews and navigation – experienced consumers who are trying out: new appliances, new services, new flavours, new authors, new artists, new music, new games, new destinations, new outfits, new…well new anything!
How do I register?
Registration to become a member of Sample Central in Dubai will be
open soon. Registration will be completed via our website. Be one
of the first to know when registration is open and when and where
the store will open by going to the store or log to the
website.
Do I have to pay anything?
ALL the products in a Sample Central store are FREE – that’s our
promise! You do have to pay to become a member of Sample Central as
it is a members only space. For the privilege of shopping for free
we do require you to complete short questionnaires about the
products you take from the store. Every questionnaire you complete
builds loyalty rewards – the more you gain the more advantages you
have access to.
What happens if I don’t answer the
questionnaires?
If you don’t answer the questions you will lose loyalty points. If
you fail to answer the questionnaires before they expire then your
membership will be suspended and you will be unable to visit Sample
Central.
What do you do with my registration
information?
The information you provide us will be protected and not shared
with anyone in accordance with our privacy policy. We do not share
your information with our partner companies, the brands, or any
other group outside of Sample Central.
How do I make an appointment to visit the
store?
Once you are a registered member of Sample Central you will be
given your own personal web page. On your page you will have access
to the store schedule and be able to book and confirm your visit by
selecting a time and day that is convenient to you.
Can I visit without and appointment?
No. We are a member’s only store and require you to make a booking.
If you are late to your appointment we make best efforts to
accommodate you in the next appointment time should spaces be
available.
Can I bring a friend with me to the store?
No. We are a member’s only store. All visits are scheduled
individually.
How long can I stay in the store once I
arrive?
The number of visitors to the store are restricted by time. Each
appointment time is one (1) hour in length.
Can I visit the store as often as I like?
If there is a free appointment open and you have completed your
feedback survey then you can come to the store every day.
Appointments are made via your web page.
If I like a product can I take it multiple
times?
No. You can only try and take home one unit of a product while it
is available in the store.
Can I change or return products I don’t
like?
No. Products cannot be returned or exchanged. It is important that
the manufactures understand why you did not like the product. Use
the questionnaires to express your opinion about the product.
Am I obligated to answer the
questionnaires?
You are not obligated to answer the questionnaires, however, not
responding will mean a loss of loyalty points and possible
membership suspension. Not answering the questionnaires will also
mean you cannot make another appointment to come back into the
store.
What happens if I provide negative feedback about a
product?
Nothing. The important thing is that you answer the questions
honestly. You opinion, even negative or critical will greatly help
the brand owners and manufacturers improve their products.
Can I cancel my registration if I no longer want to be
involved?
Yes, you can cancel your registration at any time without penalty
or additional cost.
How do I earn points in the loyalty
program?
Participation is key. Every online questionnaire you answer at home
earns you points. Every product you try in the store (those you
cant take home) earns you points. You can also earn points by
referring friends to become members. The more you participate the
more rewards and benefits you will earn.
