fossilized corals and marine mollusks, mostly oyster shells.
Widely used as Calcium Supplement in Poultry and Animal Feed
Industries. As Poultry Feed it helps in the food grinding
process in the gizzard allowing for more efficient utilization of
the food. It is also a feed supplement supplying Calcium for
healthy bone development in chickens and stronger eggshell
formation.
Other uses: as a source of lime; neutralizing agent, filler
and extender in rubber. Plastics; opacifying agent in paper;
fortification of bread; tooth powders; antacid; whitewash; Portland
cement; sulfur dioxide removal from stack gases; metallurgical flux
