The extract is made from the stem, leaves and root of
Echinacea Angustifolia. The main active substance of the
extract is polyphenol. The extract is used as an immunostimulator
to stimulate the body's immune system and to ward off infections
and also used as a laxative.
Be more specific, the echinacea angustifolia extract is used to
reduce cold symptoms or shorten their duration, or to treat upper
respiratory infections. The extract is also used against many other
infections including the flu, urinary tract infections, vaginal
yeast infections, genital herpes, bloodstream infections
(septicemia), gum disease, tonsillitis, streptococcus infections,
syphilis, typhoid, malaria, and diphtheria.
People also apply the extract to their skin to treat boils,
abscesses, skin wounds, ulcers, burns, eczema, psoriasis, UV
radiation skin damage, herpes simplex, bee stings, and
hemorrhoids.
