Uses: Kolanut is being used for socio-cultural event in West Africa and Brazil. It is also used as ingredient in cultural family medicine. Its leaves and Pod extract are being used as colouring agent in traditional attires and fabrics. It extracts can also be used to produce wine, the pod when combined with other ingredient can be used to produce soap. The nut is also being used as stimulant.
Packaging: Kola-nut is traditionally wrapped in special leaves for preservation which could last more than a year. For export however, we supply in perforated corrugated cardboard.
Defects: Weevils is a known infest attack to kolanut. The plant could suffer epiphyte attack, or other diseases that affects cocoa.
