Cotton dropping are formed during the processing
of raw cotton in the production of yarn. Droppings or lower carding
waste are high in trash, low in cost and less fiber content makes
it ideal for spinning low count yarn. The most important indicators for laboratory
testing of these types of waste are the
following: 1. Percentage of the clean fiber to total
weight 2. Modal and staple fibers
length 3. Percentage content of short fiber (fiber length
of less than 8 mm) to the total weight 4. Contents spinnable fibers with a length
exceeding *6 mm in relation to the total percentage
