BASMATI Rice
is nothing but that form of rice which is partially in the husk
(outer shell of the rice) before it is processed. Under this
process, the rice is first soaked in water. It is then boiled and
dried to complete the process of parboiling. There are two basic
benefits of parboiling rice. One is that such process makes it
simpler to process rice by hand. Secondly, and more significantly,
it enhances the nutritional profile of rice. Therefore, rice
becomes healthier after going through the process of
parboiling.
Parboiled rice, because of its augmented nutritional value, is used
extensively in various countries of the world including the likes
of India, South Africa, Spain, Switzerland, USA, Pakistan and
France among others.
