maroon. Its arils are sourish in taste with hard seeds. Being their
arils small and soft, it is easy to consume. Blood-red Pomegranates
with specific aroma and large and watery arils are highly
preferred. The Hejaz pomegranate is the most durable variety for
storage. It is more tolerable to cold in comparison to other
pomegranate varieties with sourish taste.
