Yams are a form edible tuber, they are perennial herbaceous vines cultivated for the consumption of their starchy tubers

Our Yam Products are subject to the following minimum requirements

• properly cured
• free of any visible foreign matter
• whole, fresh and firm
• free of sprouts and well-trimmed with clean cut surfaces
• products affected by rotting or deterioration such as to make it unfit for consumption is excluded
• free from mechanical and physiological damage such as low and/or high temperature
• free of abnormal external moisture, excluding condensation following removal from cold storage
• free of foreign odor and/or taste

our Yam Products are harvested only when they have attained the necessary degree of growth to be able to withstand transport and handling in order to arrive at its destination in satisfactory conditions.

we also stress Uniformity in our products. They are uniform and contain only yam of the same variety, origin, quality, maturity and size. We also guarantee that the visible parts of our yam represent the entire contents.

Nutritional value of Yam

Although they're considered to be a starchy vegetable, yams are made up of complex carbohydrates and dietary fiber allowing for slow uptake to keep blood sugar levels even. The vitamin A in yams has several functions, such as maintaining healthy mucous membranes and skin, heightening night vision, supporting healthy bone development, and providing protection from lung and mouth cancers.
