The picking season goes from July to October. Matsutake mushrooms are most highly regarded in Japan, Korea and China and eaten as symbol of status.
Shipping: fresh matsutake mushrooms are sent on air freight with standard 10 - 20kg polystyrene box with CO2 dry ice packs and water absorbent paper. Depending on your location and customs clearance speed, products should typically arrive within 48-72 hours from time of picking; 36 hours domestically to most places in China.
