Steam distillation is a process of extracting the natural oils from natural plant extracts using the power of steam.

In this process, the plants/parts of plants are kept in a container usually made of steel. A jet of hot steam is passed through the container which leads to extraction of the natural oil into the vapours. These vapours containing the natural oils are then passed through a condenser. Then the condensed liquid is sent to a separator for separation of water and natural oil. Some natural oils are heavier than water while others are lighter than water.

This overall process ensures that we get very high quality natural oil with high grade of purity.
