QUALITY CRITERIA
On request, skins would be: with or without meat.
Skins are properly removed.
On the skin there is no visible fat, scales and other parts that do
not belong to the skin. Skins contain no more than 10% free
water.
Skins are stored in the refrigerator (≤ -18 ° C).
TRANSPORTATION
Transportation and storage is carried out in proper conditions of
cleanliness using appropriate vehicles, the temperature is in the
range from -18 ° C to -20 ° C. Each container
is equipped with a temperature recorder. Container weight ranges
from 21,000
kg (minimum net weight) to 23,000 kg (maximum net weight).
PACKING AND STORAGE
Each pallet is wrapped with a polyethylene shrink film on each
side, free of defects. A plastic film is laid between the pallet
and the cod skin blocks. Individual packs are not allowed. Each
pallet is wrapped with metal strips (minimum 2 strips per side) or
plastic strips (minimum 4 strips per side). Each pallet has a
weight of not more than 1300 kg (gross). The permissible dimensions
of the pallets are 80×120 cm, 100×120 cm and 120×120 cm, and the
height of the pallets does not exceed 180 cm. The upper part of
each pallet must be flat, on one level without any blocks in the
middle, in order to be able to stack the pallets.
