In ***1, I had an idea and believed that it was time for Jamaica to process and into other market their own products globally.. That same year i took by family to Jamaica for a holiday. Seeing the potential, of the Blue Mountain Brand, i then embarked on an intensive researcher on the coffee market. What i found was that for decades Jamaica have produced what they do not consume and consumed what they do not produce. With few exceptions, processing and value addition has historically taken place outside Jamaica. Processing the coffee in Jamaica where it is grown allows the farmer to retain a greater proportion of the value addition thereby enabling the Company to better support the farmers and empower their communities. At the same time, build awareness of the Blue Mountain Brand as being the best coffee in the world.
