Antarctic krill (scientific name Euphasia superba) are among the
*5 known species of krill, a group of semi-transparent
shrimp-like marine crustaceans. These tiny creatures, which are
just a little bigger than a small paper clip, are essentially the
fuel that powers the engine of the Antarctic
ecosystem.
Krill oil is comprised of three major components: phospholipids
attached to omega*3 fatty acids (FA), Triglycerides attached to
omega*3 FA, and antioxidants, such as:
astaxanthin.
Advantage of Krill Oil:
1. Astaxanthin——**0 times more powerful than vitamins A and E, *7
times more powerful than lutein, and *4 times more powerful than
CoQ*0.
2. Omega*3s——in the form of phospholipids*-liposomes or little
packages that bring the omega*3 fats EPA and DHA fatty acids
directly to your cells.
3. Phospholipid——the predominant phospholipid is phosphatidyl
choline.
