Features of device
1.Through the thyristor, the automatic contactless switching of
each filter bank is achieved; the filter employing the advanced
thyristor flexible switching technology and special process design
avoids the rush current and transient impulse generated by the
conventional contactor switching and thyristor zero-cross
switching, allowing the subsequent operation without discharging.
This will prolong the service life of dynamic compensation
system.
2. It can not only automatically trace the system reactive
load variation, carry out quick reactive compensation, but also
smooth the harmonic current in the power system to maintain the
power factor within the specified range. Besides, the capacitor and
reactor in series can avoid the harmonic magnification.
3. The filter bank switching controlled by the controller
enhances the quick-response capacity of filter bank and allows the
dynamic and frequent switching according to the load condition of
power distribution system. The dynamic response time does not
exceed *0ms.
4.The powerful functions and easy adjustment LCD controller
enables the real display of system voltage, power factor,
system filter bank number and compensation current etc. It can
program the power factor, overvoltage value, no-voltage value,
overcurrent value, percent harmonic distortion value, switching
time-lag and allows the warning functions for overvoltage,
overcurrent, undercurrent and equipment temperature of *0℃ etc.
5. It can realize the three-phase switching or switching per
phase according to the three-phase equilibrium load and
out-of-balance load.

SNTA***3 low voltage dynamic reactive compensation smoothing
equipment adopts the thyristor switching electric power filter to
supply a new solution to the dynamic compensation of increasing the

the loss.
1, Standard anti-resonance type (connected with reactor of 6% or
*2% reactance ratio in series)
This type device is mainly used in the
system containing little harmonics and load change being high.
Generally, the simple switching capacitor bank reactive
compensation device will cause the shunt resonance of shunt
capacitor and system, magnify the harmonics, make the voltage and
current waveform distortion worse and even cause the capacitor
temperature rise higher and shorten the service life of the
capacitor. To solve the above problems, for the system of which the
harmonic content essentially complies with Quality of electric
energy supply - Harmonics in public supply network, connect one
anti-resonance reactor in series to the reactive compensation
device, make the resonant frequency of shunt capacitor lower than
the minimum subharmonic frequency, keep clear of resonance point
and avoid the harmonic magnification.
For the standard anti-resonance type low voltage dynamical
compensating device with series reactor of 6% or *2% reactance
ratio, if the power factor can be increased to 0.*5 or more, it
will enable a certain harmonic filtration function.
2, Smoothing type (special design filter tuned to a certain
frequency)
This type is applicable to the system
having the high harmonic content. SNTA***3 device has LC smoothing
circuit consisting of filter capacitor and filter reactor. L-C
circuit is designed to present low impedance (compared to the
system impedance) at a certain resonant frequency to absorb most
harmonic current. The manner, resonant frequency and capacity of
filter vary from the system conditions. The non-standard filter
requires special design and the harmonic current absorptivity can
reach to *5% or more.
3, Compensation per phase
Some power grids may present the
three-phase imbalance, in particular in the automotive and ship
fabrication industries in which the electrical equipment mainly
consists of the arc welders. If the compensation is made for all
the three phases, the overcompensation may occur in a certain phase
and consequently the three-phase imbalance will be worse. To solve
this problem, the compensation per phase must be adopted.
