1.                   Application

PC*1 B telecontrol and teletransmission cathodic protection system is suitable to protect all kinds of the metal-buried buildings, such as the pipelines, cables, piers, tanks, ships and coolers in the underground, sea, water or chemical medium by impressing current to offer cathodic protection. The system is provided with advanced technical index, high reliability and long service life.

PC*1 B is provided with interfaces to realize data telecontrol and teletransmission. The system includes two independent constant potential device and switch circuits for controlling operations of two constant potential device, can realize function of switching to constant current automatically when there are faults.

2.                   Technical performances

2.1                Power Supply： Single Phase **0 x (1 ± *0%) V, *0 x (1 ± 5%) Hz.

2.2                Output adjustable range: The adjustable ranges of output voltage and output current are not less than 2% ~ **0% rated output value.

2.3                Ripple coefficient Ripple coefficient is not more than 5% when apparatus is operating on rated output state.

2.4                Operation Mode: The system has been provided with manual adjustment operation mode, constant potential operation mode, constant current operation mode.

2.4.1           Manual adjustment operation mode: Adjust output current manually, continuously.

2.4.2           Constant potential operation mode

2.4.2.1       Constant potential is continuously adjustable in the range (0mV~ ****0mV).

2.4.2.2       Constant potential precision: less than 5mV.

2.4.3 Constant current operation mode: When unable to operate in constant potential operation mode due to some faults, the unit will switch into constant current operation mode automatically.

2.4.3.1       Constant current range： Constant current can be regulated continuously in the range of 2% ~ **0% rated value.

2.4.3.2       Constant current precision: better than 1%.

2.5                Reference impedance: more than 1 MQ.

2.6                There is soft start function.

2.7                There is alarm function when protection potential departures from control potential.

2.8                Resist interference: Reference terminal can resist AC interference and instantaneous interference.

2.9                There is overcurrent protection.

2.*0             Lightning protection: Input terminals and output terminals are equipped with lightning protection circuits. And the circuits meet the requirements oflEC***4.

2.*1             Protection against reversed polarity: The rectifier of auto-control will close automatically when there is reversed polarity.

2.*2             On-off test: There are manual control and telecontrol to make the system into on-off test( on for *2s and off for 3s).

2.*3             Data transmission interface: Protection potential, output current, output voltage can be isolated and transformed to 4 ~ *0mA standard industrial signal and then transmitted remotely. Transform precision is better than 1%. Point-to-point interfaces and RS**5 interface can be used to transmit remotely.

2.*4             Telecontrol given value: The given potential can be set locally and remotely. Given signal is 4〜*0mA standard industrial signal will be transformed to potential signal (0〜一***0mV). Transform error is better than 0.3%.

2.*5             Telecontrol switching: The system can receive remote select signal to select one device to be operating. The indicator of operating device shall be light.

2.*6             Telecontrol startup and shutdown: The system can receive remote shutdown signal and then shut down normally.

2.*7             Interfaces for telecontrol and teletransmission: Point-to point interfaces, RS**5 Interfaces, etc.

2.*8             Interlock function: The system has been equipped with interlock unit to prevent two constant potential devices from operating at the same time, one operating and the other is spare.

2.*9             Measurement and display: Output voltage, output current, pipe-soil (protection) potential, AC voltage can be measured and displayed by meters separately. And the power consumption also can be record by meter.
