The classifications of screening equipment:

Screening equipment is widely applied into many industries. According to screenings structures and movement forms, screening equipment can be divided into stationary screen, rolling axial screen, cylinder screen, shaking screen, curved screen, high-frequency screen, vibrating screen and so on. Vibrating screen is widely used into many industries. Some production links such as screening, dehydration, desliming in the coal dressing plant always use vibrating screen.

The operating principle of vibrating screen:

There are two phases in crushing materials. The first phase is that the fine particle less than screening size reaches to sifter through material layer which is composed of coarse particle. The second one is that fine particle gets through screening holes. In the practical screening process, because particle size is different, when separate materials with fine and coarse materials touch the screening surface, only a little part material can contact with the sifter, and where not all the material is less than screen holes. Most of smaller particle is distributed into all the parts of material layers. The space among big material becomes wider because of machines vibration, the small particle flows into the low place or conveyor through the space. Because big particle cant get through the space among small particle, they become higher and higher during the operation. The former disordered particle is separated. The material less than screening holes get through sifter to achieve particle separation. However, sufficient separation is impossible, and generally there will be a part of small particle remaining in the big particle.

The influencing factors in the screening process:

The screen efficiency is related with many factors, but there are three important factors: material property, screening equipment property, operation and management.

The material property concludes particle size property, water content, sediment percentage, particle formation, density and so on. Different screen surfaces have different influence on production result. Operation and management have a big influence on screening. The feeding material should be distributed into the whole screen width and same thickness layer evenly and continuously, which not only takes full advantage of sifter but also makes fine particle get well through, getting better production efficiency and screen efficiency. Handle and maintain timely is also an important condition in the process of screening.
