The Signal Hound BB60C Real-Time RF Spectrum Analyzer and Recorder is a 9 kHz to 6 GHz spectrum analyzer and RF recorder with an instantaneous bandwidth of 27 MHz and sweep speeds of 24 GHz/sec.

The BB60C real-time RF spectrum analyzer streams 140 MB/sec of digitized RF to your PC utilizing USB 3.0, providing an instantaneous bandwidth of 27 MHz and sweep speeds of 24 GHz/sec.

The BB60C improved performance over previous versions, including:

• 20 dB improvement in spurious-free dynamic range (SFDR)

• Noise floor and band transition flattening by more than 8 dB

• Extended temperature range from 40°C to +65°C (previously 0°C to +50°C)

The BB60C design has been tested for:

• 3-hour cold soak at 40°C

• 24-hour hot soak at +65°C

The BB60C also adds new functionality with configurable I/Q streaming bandwidths.

Using the proprietary API, it can perform up to 1.2 million FFT spectrums or 320 million FFT points per second, delivering real-time spectrum data to the Spike software or to your own software.

The BB60C is ideal as an RF recorder. Variable I/Q sample rates allow fine control over recorded bandwidth. Data rates are selectable from 312.5 k to 40M samples/second with configurable bandpass filters.

Spike software includes a 2D waterfall and color persistence display. Normally unseen transient events become visible. Color persistence highlights intermittent signals.

If GPS time stamping is required, the BB60C supports a 1-PPS providing 50 ns (4 sample) timing accuracy.

The BB60D includes all the capabilities of the BB60C, plus:

• 10 dB improved dynamic range

• Preselector filters from 130 MHz to 6 GHz

The BB60D streams 140 MB/sec of RF data via USB 3.0 with 27 MHz instantaneous bandwidth and 24 GHz/sec sweep speed.

With a fast storage drive (250 MB/sec sustained write), the BB60D can record:

• Up to 80 million IF samples/sec

• Up to 40 million I/Q samples/sec

The API delivers:

• Up to 1.2 million FFT spectrums/sec

• 320 million FFT points/sec

The improved selectivity and dynamic range make it ideal for dense RF environments and weak-signal detection. With a 30 dBm reference level, you can see all the way down to DANL.
